Bad file server is enforcing file consistency

People who play Counter Strike on servers many times may have faced "Bad file server is enforcing file consistency" error. One method to get rid of this is that you can use different server because not all servers have the file consistency checking enabled.

Second method is that, you need to delete the old sprites files so when next time you connect the CS server after deleting the sprites, Counter Strike will automatically download the new sprites files.

Error:
Disconnected: You have been disconnected from the server. Reason: Bad file Server is enforcing file consistency for sprites/muzzflesh3.spr

Solution:
  • Right Click on shortcut icon of Counter Strike and Select Properties.
  • Click on "Open File Location"
  • Bad file server is enforcing file consistency
  • A  folder will open where your Counter Strike game is installed, Now in this folder Search the file which giving error. in above example the file "muzzflesh3.spr" was the reason for error.
  • Bad file server is enforcing file consistency
  • When you get the file just delete it.
  • Now start Counter Strike and again try to connect the server. You may get the same error again but this time for some other sprites file. Example, First you got error for muzzflesh3.spr file, this time you may get for muzzflesh2.spr and then again for muzzflesh1.spr. So You may need repeat the same process 4-5 times.
